Apply your stickers the right way
Five minutes of prep gives you a sticker that stays put for years — through bag straps, rain, and overzealous baggage handlers.
1. Clean the surface
Wipe with isopropyl alcohol or warm soapy water, then dry thoroughly. Any dust, oil or moisture will weaken the bond.
2. Bring it to room temperature
Stickers and surface should both be 15–30°C. Cold metal or hot plastic ruins the adhesive.
3. Peel slowly, place precisely
Lift one corner of the sticker, line up the position, then lower it down. Don't reposition — the adhesive grabs on first contact.
4. Press for 30 seconds
Apply firm, even pressure across the whole sticker. Use a credit card edge to smooth out air bubbles.
5. Wait 24 hours before exposure
Avoid washing, wiping or wet environments for a full day so the adhesive can fully cure.
Surfaces to avoid
- Highly textured fabrics (use a sewn-in tag instead)
- Silicone, PTFE / non-stick coatings
- Surfaces that flex more than 5° (e.g. soft luggage panels) — use waterproof + a larger size
- Direct, prolonged UV (use the laminated or waterproof finish)
- Items that go above 60°C regularly (dishwashers, ovens)
Pick the right size
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| 2cm | Earbuds, USB sticks, jewellery boxes, keys |
| 3cm | Phones, wallets, e-readers, water bottles |
| 5cm | Laptops, cameras, handbags, helmets |
| 7cm | Suitcases, sports bags, scooters, prams |
| 10cm | Bikes, instrument cases, large luggage |
For anything that gets wet, scratched or sun-baked, choose the waterproof finish. For phones, laptops and bags, laminated is a great balance.
